Staying here felt like a home from home (only better because I didn't have to do cleaning). Valentina gave us a wonderful welcome and was very responsive (by Whatsapp) whenever we had any questions. There are a couple of big flights of stairs to climb (no lift) but if you can manage that it is well worth it. The view from the shared kitchen is amazing. We really enjoyed eating 'in' but with the windows open it felt like we were part of the vibrant restaurant atmosphere below (though it was never particularly noisy and didn't disturb us at all). Everything is kept scrupulously clean and the en suite felt spacious, especially the shower tray. One thing that was really good was the pillows on the bed – same shape as we have in the UK and very comfortable! The location is ideal for exploring Lucca inside the walls, and not too far to walk to get outside the walls if you want to catch a bus or train elsewhere (though Lucca is the best place to be, in my opinion!). |At the weekends there was a fair bit of street noise below but it didn't really stop me sleeping, and there are good shutters on the inside of the windows that help to keep out the sound – and make the room properly dark at night if that's what you prefer.|It would be good if there were some cereal and pasta bowls in the kitchen – it is really well set up for making drinks and eating snacks but not so good for cooking a proper meal. The drinking water machine is excellent (includes chilled/fizzy/slightly fizzy).|We were sad when the time came to leave. We'd recommend the Sunflower cafe right next to the front door, and also Piazza San Frediano has a good atmosphere – we enjoyed eating at Osteria Piccola twice. There's a small supermarket just by the church, which is convenient (but note the opening hours – different from the usual UK times).

What a beautiful place to stay! The location is phenomenal, right in the heart of Lucca, everything you need is within short walking distance and its only 15mins from train station. I’ve travelled a lot and met some good hosts but Valentina tops them all, kind, warm and friendly and very helpful. She kept in touch each day to let me know what was on in Lucca and to make sure I was enjoying my time there. The views from the kitchen are beautiful (see pics) The apartment was very clean, (daily) nice decor and good amenities. I’ll be back to Lucca some day and will stay here again for sure.

This accomodation is a real highlight. Very central located, directly at the amphi theater. The room is spacious, very clean (provides daily cleaning) and comfortable furnished. It's located in a historical building and completely rennovated. The shared kitchen provides coffee, tea, cakes and water. The check in information were given promptly, very professional. My early check in was also possible without any issue. The real asset is the spirit of the people. Valentina, the owner, welcome me with open heart and bright smile. She's a real Italian lady, strong, loud, funny, full of passion and energy. She loves and lives pure hospitality. I enjoyed a lot. Many thanks to make Lucca to such a highlight to me!

Ciao a tutti! I cannot say enough about this wonderful place! Valentina, the host, is absolutely the best! She was so kind and thoughtful and helpful. She truly cares about her guests! My only regret - I did not get the opportunity to say goodbye in person. I cannot recommend Residenza FillAnfi enough! Lucca is fabulous, and this hotel is perfect! Grazie mille Valentina!!

Our party of 5 stayed at the Residenza FillAnfi for one night at the end of a short tour of Tuscany, occupying 3 rooms. Our host, Valentina, was exceptional. Her introduction to the property and attention to detail in explaining everything was excellent. The rooms were quiet, clean, spacious and had everything necessary for a pleasant stay. The kitchen is accessible for all residents, and overlooks the Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, a lovely piazza with many nice restaurants. In summary the accommodation was excellent. We should have arranged a longer stay in Lucca - a real gem !

We were supposed to stay for 2 days only . But we fallen in love with LUCCA. The Residenza FillAnfi made everything wonderful and easy. Our stay became 6 days and Ms.Valentina and your staff made our stay above the clouds. We stayed in every single room ( we missed one ) in The Residenza FillAnfi. Every single room has a different view and a unique furniture. What every single room share the same cleaning, in every single detail, everything is working perfectly. You will be in heart of LUCCA . We wish you all the best for the family of Residenza FillAnfi.
