The highlight of this hotel is its prime location. Breakfast in the dining room feels like a real treat, with stunning views overlooking the bridge and the water. The rooms lean a bit dated, though the beds are comfortable. We stayed as a group, and I noticed some variation in quality from room to room, ours turned out fine. The bathroom was spotless and modern-feeling, with an excellent mirror and strong water pressure. Our group made great use of the bar, where the cocktails were outstanding and the staff stayed incredibly friendly even amid the crowds. The team here is genuinely warm and welcoming overall, in my opinion, that’s what truly sets the place apart. The breakfast buffet features good coffee that they deliver promptly, and they check in often to see if you need anything else. On Saturday, a super cheerful chef whipped up my eggs with a huge grin, thanks for that! Sunday was a different story, though, with a sullen guy at the station who wouldn’t even make eye contact when taking orders. Such a stark contrast. Overall, it was a nice stay. Had a very pleasant stay here with a 3 night break to take in an Andre rieiu show. The location is superb with very friendly staff. The rooms were clean and tidy although the hotel is a little dated.its an excellent spot with great views over the river. The breakfast was good with hot food and a selection of cold foods also. I would recommend staying here as a base as it’s within walking distance of the beautiful vibrant old town and the newer side.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Crowne Plaza Maastricht, and it exceeded expectations in all the right ways. The location is exceptional, situated right by the river, offering a calm and scenic atmosphere, yet still within easy walking distance to the city centre. It strikes the perfect balance between accessibility and tranquility, away from the more crowded tourist zones. Check-in was seamless and welcoming. A special mention to Cedric, who went above and beyond in sharing helpful tips and recommendations, especially valuable for a first-time visitor to Maastricht. That personal touch really set the tone for the stay. The room itself was thoughtfully designed for comfort and convenience. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s rest, and I appreciated the abundance of power outlets and USB ports, a small detail that makes a big difference for modern travellers. Breakfast was also great. The usher gave a clear and helpful briefing on what was available and how the dining works. There was a wide selection, from cold options to hot meals, catering to different preferences. Overall, a great experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

The best part of this hotel is location. Right at the centre of Maastricht and yet quiet and feels safe. Although they are doing their best, you can see the building is old. The breakfast was very typical with eggs, fruits, yoghurt, pastries etc with no wow factors. Overall good enough, but not amazing.

Top location and very clean. The hotel is in a quiet area but still very central for Maastricht. I always enjoy the lovely view to the river. Breakfast is well arranged and delivers a good variety.

The breakfast service by Ben was truly ourstanding, such a personal and caring experience. Room is amazing with huge comfy beds and nice shower. However, cleanliness was severely lacking. Never seen such a dirty sofa anywhere before. Floor could have been cleaner as well.

I’m here for a conference with my husband (who is an IHG member). We are on the third floor facing south (room 748). It’s been a terrible experience. We checked in on Wednesday and it’s been in the upper 80s. The air conditioning didn’t work that first night, we complained and someone came by on Thursday about 4pm and supposedly fixed it. There was slightly cool air coming out…and that stopped about 10pm and we just have warm air blowing into the room. We’ve complained multiple times today (Friday) that it is cooler in the hallways and lobby than our room (I actually spent a lot of time outside today as it was cooler there than the room). With how hot the room is, I haven’t been able to sleep. We didn’t get maid service yesterday (Thursday) and heard from others on our floor that they didn’t either. It’s now 4:30 on Friday and still haven’t had maid service…my husband finally went and requested towels so we could at least have fresh towels. I did give 2 stars as the room is a nice size and they have water in the lobby. But I expect much better from a crowne plaza. I would not stay here again.
