AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Crabbe Hill Beach is a low-key, sandy stretch on Antigua's sheltered southwest coast, a world away from the busy resort strips that draw the crowds to Turner's Beach further down the road. Set right off the main coastal road in the village of Crab Hill (Saint Mary Parish), it is the kind of place where locals drop by with a towel, where roadside parking is easy and where the day's highlight is simply watching the sun melt into the Caribbean Sea.↗↗
The beach earns its five-star reputation through calm, clear water, soft sand and a genuine village atmosphere rather than polished resort amenities. It is a family-friendly spot with gentle entry to the sea, a popular place to swim and snorkel, and—importantly—a conservation nesting beach for endangered Leatherback and Hawksbill turtles. On a clear afternoon the horizon opens up to neighbouring islands, and the breeze off the water keeps even the warmest tropical days comfortable.↗↗↗
