AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Point View Beach is a quiet, family-friendly day-use area on Waskesiu Lake, just past the Waskesiu Marina off Highway 264. Featuring a pebbled shoreline and a covered picnic shelter, it is the perfect spot for a calm afternoon on the water.↗↗
What to Notice
Point View is tucked away just off the scenic Kingsmere Road, giving it a peaceful atmosphere compared to the busy activity around the townsite's main beach. The water here is crystal clear and perfectly refreshing on a warm summer day, while the shoreline's mix of pebbles makes it a pleasant spot for sunbathing or finding smooth stones to skip across the lake. It provides a beautiful, open view of Waskesiu Lake's vast central fishing zone.↗↗↗
When to Go
Waskesiu Lake typically becomes ice-free by mid-May. However, water temperatures usually take a little longer to warm up, making the best time for swimming from the end of June through early September.
