AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Coral Bay is the Paphos region's most popular beach—a sheltered, crescent-shaped sweep of golden sand about 12 km north of Paphos town, framed by low limestone cliffs and backed by a lively strip of restaurants, bars, and hire shops.↗↗↗
The bay's natural breakwater keeps its waters remarkably calm even when the open Paphos coast turns choppy, making it a reliable choice for families with children, less confident swimmers, and anyone who simply wants a beautiful, easy beach day.↗↗
What Makes Coral Bay Special
Named for the fossilised coral embedded in the limestone cliffs at its northern end, Coral Bay stretches roughly 500–650 metres in a broad, gentle arc along the Peyia coastline. Its pale, soft sand and shallow-water entry make it feel welcoming from the moment you step off the promenade. On most summer mornings the sea is glass-smooth, warming to 27–28°C by midsummer.↗
