AT A GLANCE
Why go?
The Dunchurch Bridleway is a quietly beautiful green corridor on the Warwickshire edge of Rugby, linking the villages of Cawston and Dunchurch on a largely traffic-free route made for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. Tended by a devoted local volunteering group, it is the eastern arm of the Cawston Greenway network: a meandering path that threads between mature trees, opens into wide grassy glades and spills out across rolling farmland views.↗↗↗
What makes it special is how well cared for a short outing can feel. The path is deliberately kept broad enough to walk side by side, dotted with hand-built benches and wildflower-rich margins, and tied together by an information board that sets out the story of the landscape. One end finishes in the picture-book village of Dunchurch, with its thatched cottages and village pub, so a gentle stroll here easily turns into a satisfying half-day out in the Warwickshire countryside.↗↗
