AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Panchmukhi Hanuman Ji Temple is a neighbourhood Hindu shrine dedicated to the five-faced manifestation of Lord Hanuman, set in the Bironda area of Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The temple sits within the Advocate Society residential locality in the Pari Chet zone, serving as a quiet place of worship amid the planned sectors and green-meadow housing societies that now cover what was once open countryside.↗↗
While it does not draw the large crowds that visit Greater Noida's more famous Bisrakh Panchmukhi Hanuman Mandir, this temple carries the same devotional significance of the five-faced Hanuman tradition and offers local residents and visitors a peaceful spot for prayer, particularly on Tuesdays, which are sacred to Hanuman worship.↗↗
The Five-Faced Form of Hanuman
Panchmukhi literally means "five-faced," and the deity enshrined here depicts Lord Hanuman with five heads representing five directions and five divine aspects. In Hindu tradition, each face embodies a different protective power — facing east for peace and prosperity, south for overcoming fear and death, west for wealth, north for liberation, and the upward face representing divine grace. Worshippers believe that the combined form grants protection from all directions and fulfils sincere prayers.
