About the Temple
The temple is formally known as Sri Sri Jagannath Mandir, dedicated to Lord Jagannath — a form of Krishna worshipped in the great tradition of Puri, Odisha — along with his siblings Balabhadra and Subhadra. The building on Vrindavan Road was donated by a local devotee, Ajay Bhandari, who was inspired by the philosophy of Srila Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON (the International Society for Krishna Consciousness). Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj inaugurated the temple on 12 August 2003, marking the beginning of organized Krishna consciousness practice at this address.
