AT A GLANCE
Why go?
RumSky Stargazing Adventure is a desert observatory on the Disi road into Wadi Rum, built around one of the darkest, least light-polluted skies in Jordan. A group of Jordanian astronomers run a guided evening that pairs an easy-to-follow presentation on the cosmos with hands-on time at large telescopes and a laser-lit tour of the constellations, all in about ninety minutes.↗↗↗
The evening is designed for curious travellers rather than specialists: no astronomy background is needed, kids are welcome, and you are collected from your Wadi Rum camp and driven back after dinner. Guests consistently talk about seeing Saturn's rings and Jupiter's moons for the first time, learning to find the North Star, and leaving with a professional star portrait.↗↗↗↗
