AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Tucked along the dramatic limestone coastline of El Heri in northern Lebanon, Nowhere Beach is a colorful, relaxed beach club that feels like a world away from the high-gloss resorts further down the coast. Opened in 2018, it has become one of Chekka's most popular seaside escapes — a place where crystal-clear Mediterranean waters meet soft sandy shores, swaying hammocks, and a playful design philosophy that turns a visit into a small adventure in doing absolutely nothing in particular.↗↗
What sets Nowhere Beach apart is its deliberate low-key charm. The space is drenched in color and personality: whimsical signs like "There's Nowhere else I'd rather be" and "This door leads to Nowhere" greet you as you navigate to your spot. Food huts serve casual meals and drinks, ambient music drifts across the sand, and sunset dinners with friends are practically part of the program. The crowd tends to be stylish yet unpretentious, and weekday visits are often blissfully quiet.↗↗
Set roughly 60 kilometers north of Beirut on the coastal highway toward Batroun, Nowhere Beach makes for a perfect summer day trip. The entrance fee is modest compared to upscale Lebanese beach resorts, and the beach is pet-friendly — so your dog is welcome to join the lounging. Wheelchair-accessible entrance means the seaside is within reach for all visitors.
