Shri Raghavendra Swamy Math
On Barkatpura Road in old Hyderabad, the Shri Raghavendra Swamy Math is a working monastery and temple dedicated to Guru Raghavendra Swamy, the revered 17th-century saint of the Dvaita tradition. It is an official branch of the great Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matha of Mantralayam, and it brings that lineage's daily worship, rituals and prasada to the heart of the city. More than a quiet place for darshan, the math is a busy community hub where families come for everything from daily pooja to lifetime ceremonies. Visitors describe a serene, well-kept and welcoming house of worship, easy to slip into for a few peaceful minutes or to stay for a full ritual with lunch and the noon theertha prasada.
