Senoradský Mlýn
Senoradský Mlýn is the atmospheric remains of a historic flour mill sitting at the confluence of the Oslava and Chvojnice rivers, deep within a rocky canyon in South Moravia's most wild-feeling valley. Far from roads and crowds, this single-story stone building and its surrounding farm structures mark the heart of the protected Údolí Oslavy a Chvojnice nature reserve, where granulite cliffs rise nearly 100 metres above rushing water. What makes this spot special is its combination of genuine remoteness, layered history, and raw natural beauty. The mill stopped grinding grain long ago, but its water wheel powered a small hydroelectric setup for decades, supplying electricity to the mill and several nearby cottages. Today the mill serves as a landmark waypoint on beloved hiking loops that pass viewpoints, castle ruins, and the river confluence itself.
