Lake Guerlédan
Lake Guerlédan is the largest artificial lake in Brittany, stretching 12 kilometres through the Blavet valley in the heart of central Brittany. Created in 1930 by a hydroelectric dam on the River Blavet, it has become a beloved outdoor playground where forested coves, golden heathland, and deep blue water combine into one of the region's most scenic inland landscapes. Whether you paddle a canoe into a silent tributary, waterski across the main basin, or simply hike the 38-kilometre shoreline trail past ruined abbeys and Neolithic monuments, Lake Guerlédan delivers a full day—or a full week—of outdoor immersion far from the coast.
