Ünye Feneraltı Plajı
Ünye Feneraltı Plajı is the small cove beach tucked beneath the old lighthouse on the Burunucu headland, a couple of kilometres west of Ünye's centre on Turkey's Black Sea coast. Its name simply means "below the lighthouse", and that is exactly the experience: a narrow strip of pale sand and rock, sea-front cafés on the slope above, and a fringe of wave-carved cliffs that gives the water a startlingly clear turquoise cast for the Black Sea. This is Ünye's own beach rather than a packaged resort strip. It sits at the edge of Çamlık, the pine-shaded seaside park and picnic ground that locals have used for generations, and the shoreline here alternates between little sandy inlets and cliff platforms where the sea has cut holes, slots and hollows into the rock. Swimmers get calm, gently deepening water and a rocky margin worth exploring; the trade-off is deliberately simple surroundings, with parking, cafés and shaded lawns close at hand but no big beach-club machinery. On Google it holds a 4.7 rating from around 35 reviews and more than 180 visitor photos.
