CHG Hilltop

CHG Hilltop is a local summit-and-trail just outside Padukka in Sri Lanka's Western Province, reached on Dekaduwala Road off the Meepe side of town. It has earned an unusually high rating (4.9 from a small group of reviewers) for what is essentially a quick, rewarding climb: a roughly 30-minute hike up a hill that opens onto wide views over Padukka and the surrounding green belt, about 33 km east of Colombo. This is not a grand highland trek but an easy neighbourhood escape from the city—popular with locals at dawn and dusk for the cool air and the panorama. It suits a short morning outing or an evening wind-down, with the town, new developments and distant landmarks spread out below the ridge.
