Beach opol
Opol Beach is a long, easygoing public shoreline on Macajalar Bay in the coastal town of Opol, Misamis Oriental, only a short hop west of Cagayan de Oro. Rather than an isolated paradise island, it is a lived-in seaside strip where resorts, cottages and seafood stalls line the road and locals come for a swim, a picnic or a sunset. It is one of the most accessible beach escapes in Northern Mindanao—reachable in roughly a 15–20 minute drive from the city. The draw here is convenience and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere: shallow calm water that slopes gently out, soft sand to walk off along the bayfront, and plenty of places to rent a cottage and grill your own food. This entry on Google Maps marks the public park and beach area at the heart of the Opol bayfront.
