Auenhaugen
Auenhaugen is a 1,119-metre summit on Golsfjellet, the mountain plateau west of Gol, and one of the eleven peaks in the area’s Topp 11 family-friendly hiking collection. It offers a compact, rewarding walk from the Golsfjell Fjellstue area, with a short route and views over western Hallingdal’s mountain landscape. The peak is easy to fit into a relaxed day on Golsfjellet. From the parking area near the mountain lodge, the marked trail to the summit is about 1.9 km, and the route forms part of a signposted network of walks that can be combined into longer circuits over the plateau.
