Fuxing Temple
Fuxing Temple (福興宮) is a community-rooted house of the Land God in Shuili Township, a lush mountain valley in central Taiwan's Nantou County. Founded in the late 1930s by settlers who came to clear land for forestry and hydropower, the temple was built as a gesture of gratitude to the earth itself — a tradition that has thrived ever since. Today, the temple's incense smoke and community spirit remain strong. Visitors come to experience the warmth of a rural Taiwanese folk temple, time their visit with the lively Land God birthday festivals, or simply soak in the peaceful rhythm of daily worship in a small mountain township.
