The Mississippi Children's Museum – Meridian is a hands-on, play-driven museum built for young kids, tucked into downtown Meridian at 403 22nd Avenue. Run by the statewide nonprofit Mississippi Children's Museum, this eastern-Mississippi branch turns core learning skills—literacy, science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM), and healthy habits—into exhibits children touch, climb, splash and pretend their way through, all under its motto, "We Take Fun Seriously!" Rather than a walk-and-read museum, this is a get-in-and-do-it space: a storybook library to curl up in, a pretend café, a climbing structure, water play and a town-sized world to explore. With four themed galleries, weekly programs and seasonal events, it has become a go-to indoor destination for families, school groups and birthday parties in the Meridian area.
