Devish Lake
Devish Lake is a small, unnamed-by-tourism body of water sitting at roughly 126 feet elevation in the Chugach Mountains of south-central Alaska, just 0.3 miles south of where Stellar Creek spills into Sawmill Bay. There are no roads, no marked trails, no facilities, and virtually no recorded visitor infrastructure here — this is a landscape so remote that the lake exists on topographic maps but not in any guidebook. Its story belongs to the greater Prince William Sound coastline: a world of tidewater glaciers, dense spruce-hemlock forest, and sheltered marine anchorages where only the most determined paddlers and backcountry boaters set foot.
