Museo de la Falla
Deep beneath the quiet village of Juzbado in Salamanca province lies a geological scar over 300 million years old — a ductile shear zone whose twisted granite structures inspired a one-of-a-kind interpretation centre. The Museo de la Falla brings this hidden story of the Earth to life for visitors of all ages through exhibits, films, guided walks, and family-friendly science events. Named by the College of Geologists of Spain as one of the country's 21 must-see geological destinations, the museum has welcomed more than 20,000 visitors since opening in 2014 and sits at the heart of a bid to earn UNESCO Global Geopark status for the wider Salamanca region.
