Songdo Beach
Songdo Beach (송도해수욕장) on Busan's southwestern shore is Korea's first public beach, opened in 1913, and today it pairs that deep seaside heritage with two of the country's most thrilling waterfront attractions: a sea-crossing cable car and a glass-floored skywalk that reaches out over the waves. Per the Maps listing, it is a man-made beach whose main draws are the cable car and a distinctive pedestrian overpass — and both have been dramatically reborn in recent years. Set in a sheltered bay backed by the pine-wooded headland of Amnam Park, Songdo mixes a long sandy promenade with dramatic coastal views, an emerald sea, and a night skyline lit by drifting cable-car cabins. It is an easy, rewarding half-day escape from central Busan, reachable in roughly ten minutes by bus from Jagalchi or Nampo.
