Mogo Creek
Mogo Creek is a quiet perennial stream winding through the bushland of the City of Hawkesbury, in outer metropolitan Sydney's Blue Mountains region. A tributary of the Macdonald River, it drains a sparsely settled corner of the Hawkesbury–Nepean catchment where eucalypt forest and sandstone ridgelines give way to one of the most intact wilderness areas on the edge of Sydney. The creek is not a built attraction but a natural waterway embedded in a much larger story of world-heritage bushland, a historic riverside village and a dammed water supply — a place best discovered by walkers, paddlers and road-trippers who come for the landscape of which this creek is a part.
