Cucumber Lake
Cucumber Lake is a quiet, forest-ringed body of water in east-central Alberta's County of Two Hills No. 21, covering roughly 1.2 square kilometres with some 8.4 kilometres of shoreline. It sits at an elevation of 606 metres and is surrounded by mixed forest, giving it a secluded, natural character far from tourist infrastructure. The lake draws visitors mainly for fishing — northern pike, walleye, and yellow perch are among the species recorded in this part of Alberta. There is no boat ramp or developed campground, meaning the experience here is decidedly backcountry: you walk in, cast from the shore, and enjoy solitude.
