Jaharveer Shri Goga Ji Janam Sathan
Jaharveer Shri Goga Ji Janam Sathan marks the birthplace of Gogaji, the great folk-warrior deity of Rajasthan's Shekhawati and Thar belt, on a quiet farmstead in the village of Dadrewa, Churu district. Far from a grand marble monument, it draws pilgrims because it is where, by local belief, the prince called Jaharveer — the 'poison-proof hero' — first drew breath, and the ground still holds the relics of his story: the stable of his horse, his guru's ashram, an equestrian idol of the god, and a sacred pond fed by legend. What makes this little village shrine remarkable is who comes to it. Gogaji is honoured as one of the Panch Peer and is prayed to for protection from snakebite and misfortune; Hindus, Sikhs and the Kayamkhani Muslim community — who revere him as 'Jahar Peer' — all bow here side by side, making Dadrewa a living emblem of devotional harmony. During the month-long Bhadwa fair the place fills with hundreds of thousands of pilgrims who crawl prostrate across the lane, bathe in the Gorakh Ganga tank and tie vow-threads to an ancient tree on the Gorakhnath mound.
