Clock Tower
The Teldeniya Clock Tower (Sinhala: තෙල්දෙණිය ඔරලෝසු කණුව) is a small-town landmark standing at the main junction of Teldeniya, a modest town in Sri Lanka's Central Province along the Kandy–Mahiyangana highway. Classified as a historic and protected site, it serves as the geographic and civic heart of Teldeniya, surrounded by the bus stand, banks, a police station, courts, and local shops. This is not a grand monument — it's a functional junction marker whose clock reportedly runs unreliably — but for travellers passing between Kandy and the Uva or Mahaweli regions, it marks the point where the main road forks toward the Teldeniya General Hospital and the hill-country hinterland beyond.
