Mount Biddle
Mount Biddle is a towering 3,320-metre peak in the Bow Range of the Canadian Rockies, standing guard over the Lake O'Hara area of Yoho National Park, British Columbia. Its sheer rock face—described by its 1894 namer as "a gigantic peak, or, more properly, a 'peaked' wall"—forms the dramatic backdrop to Lake McArthur, one of the most vividly blue alpine lakes in the Rockies. Most visitors encounter Mount Biddle not as a summit objective but as a constant companion on the world-class trails around Lake O'Hara, where it dominates southern and southeastern views from nearly every alpine vantage point. The peak remains a serious mountaineering objective, first climbed in 1903 and rarely attempted since.
