Labyrinth Lake
Labyrinth Lake is a quiet prairie-edge lake in central Alberta, set on roughly 160 acres of shoreline, woodland and waterfowl habitat just southeast of the Edmonton airport and northeast of Wetaskiwin. Officially named in 1950 and mapped in Township 48, Range 22 west of the fourth meridian, it is far from the crowded mountain lakes yet offers the same pleasures of water, birdsong and open sky. Most visitors arrive through the long-running Labyrinth Lake Lodge, a lakeside retreat and event venue welcoming guests for more than two decades. From its decks and cabins you can step right to the water, walk groomed shoreline trails, paddle out in a canoe, or simply watch geese and owls over a calm morning—making it a low-key escape for a weekend by the lake or a lakeside celebration.
