Ozero Muraveyskoye
Lake Muraveyskoye is a small, low-key freshwater lake on the Luga-side plains of Kingisepp District in Leningrad Oblast, about a dozen hectares across and ringed by forest and farmland. It is not a resort or a sightseeing stop, but a quiet patch of open water that local anglers and walkers treat as their own backyard escape. What gives the lake its appeal is exactly its simplicity: a calm shoreline you can walk around, a reputation as a fishing pond, and an easy day-trip distance from the historic town of Kingisepp. Visitors come to cast a line, picnic by the bank, or cross-country ski and ice-fish in winter, rather than to queue for attractions.
