Mukōyama Mihaté (Mukōyama Viewpoint)
Mukōyama Mihaté (向山見晴台) is a hilltop observation point perched on the ridgeline of the Kakamigahara Alps, a chain of roughly 350-metre hills that forms the northern edge of the Kakamigahara plateau in Gifu. Sitting at about 313 metres, it is one of the ridge's named viewpoints and rewards a short hike with a wide, open panorama over the surrounding mountains and the lowland plain below. On clear days the view from the platform takes in snow-dusted alpine peaks to the north and east and the broad Nōbi Plain stretching to the south, making it a favourite short summit outing for local hikers and photographers.
