Suluk waterfall

Suluk Waterfall (also spelled Soluk, Solak or Sulik, in Persian آبشار سولک) is a tall, snow-fed cascade dropping roughly 76 metres over tiered natural rock steps in the green hills above Soluk village, around 32 kilometres west of Urmia in Iran's West Azerbaijan Province. Set at about 1,960 metres in Silvaneh district's Tergovar valley near the Turkey border, it is one of the most pristine and least commercialised natural sights in the northwest — a place of cool mountain air, permanent clear water and sweeping, road-free silence. The falls are fed by melting snow from the Zagros heights and springs in the surrounding Tergovar mountains, so they run strongest and most spectacular in spring, when the valley hillsides are also carpeted with rare inverted wild tulips. Reachable as a half-day outing from Urmia, it suits nature lovers, hikers and photographers who don't mind rough access and the absence of tourist facilities.
