Lac Victor
Lac Victor is a small recreational lake tucked into the dense forest-and-water landscape of Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc, a highland municipality at the northern edge of Maskinongé Regional County Municipality in Mauricie, Quebec. It belongs to an exceptionally rich network of more than 80 lakes and streams that defines this part of the Laurentian foothills, where cottage-lined shores, hiking trails and quiet paddling routes draw seasonal visitors from Trois-Rivières, Shawinigan and Montreal alike. The lake sits only a short drive from the eastern rim of Parc national de la Mauricie, so a day on Lac Victor easily blends with canoe routes, old-growth forest walks and lakeside swims in one of Quebec's classic villégiature playgrounds.
