Stora Kroktjarn
Stora Kroktjärn is a long, narrow forest lake near the historic mining town of Kopparberg in the Bergslagen region of central Sweden. Known locally as a fly-fishing destination, it sits within the Malingsbo-Kloten fishing cooperative area — a sprawling landscape of conifer forest, bogs, and blue lakes that straddles three counties. The lake is operated as a put-and-take fishery with regularly stocked rainbow trout and brown trout. Its clear water, fallen timber, and well-maintained shore make it a favourite among fly anglers seeking an accessible day of casting in the forest.
