Fox Lake
Fox Lake is a compact, 307-acre lake nestled in Forest Township in southeastern Minnesota, just far enough from the Twin Cities metro to feel genuinely rural yet close enough for a day trip. Its rounded shape, modest size, and DNR-managed public water access make it a go-to spot for anglers, paddlers, and families looking for a low-key day on central Minnesota's lakeland. The lake punches above its size for fishing variety — northern pike regularly exceed 20 inches, and the shallower bays produce solid bluegill, pumpkinseed, and white bass action. A concrete-slab boat ramp and a public fishing pier give easy water access without the crowds of larger lakes.
