Barranco Bermejo
Barranco Bermejo is a short mountain stream in the eastern reaches of Sierra Nevada, in the Province of Almería, Spain. At just about two kilometres long, it carves through a lush corridor of willows, poplars, and aromatic scrubland before feeding into the larger Paterna river valley. The ravine sits on the path of the Sulayr (GR-240), the grand circuit trail that loops the entire Sierra Nevada massif, making it a natural resting point for multi-day hikers traversing the wild Alpujarra almeriense.
