Långevattnet
Långevattnet is a small, gently elongated woodland lake in Västergötland, in the Västra Tunhem area of Vänersborg Municipality. Covering only around 13 hectares, it is one of the many quiet forest-and-field lakes scattered across Sweden's southwest, the kind of place you come to for calm water, birdsong and a slow walk along the shore rather than a queue of attractions. The Swedish name literally means 'the long little water', and it suits a narrow lake tucked among trees and open farmland on the western plains. With no ticket office, no crowds and no formal facilities to speak of, Långevattnet rewards the traveler who enjoys simple nature stops — a picnic by the bank, a summer dip, an autumn stroll, or a quiet moment watching light move across the surface.
