AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Göynük Public Beach — officially Kemer Belediyesi Göynük Halk Plajı — is a free, municipally run beach on Göynük's Mediterranean shore, about 7–10 km north of Kemer town centre along the scenic coastal road between Antalya and Kemer. Where the Beydağları mountains plunge almost straight into the sea and pine forests meet the water, this is the strip of coast most visitors only ever glimpse through a resort's private beachfront — and the public section that lets anyone simply spread a towel down and swim for free.↗↗↗
Its draw is the contrast between its setting and its price. The sea carries a Blue Flag for water quality — clear enough, on a calm day, to watch fish glide beneath you — framed by mountains and forest, yet it's the kind of low-key, no-gates beach where you can bring your own picnic and stay as long as you like. It's also unusually accessible for a wild-feeling cove, with wheelchair access, an accessible car park and an amphibious platform for visitors with mobility needs.↗↗
