AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Bostancı Amusement Park is one of Istanbul's oldest and most beloved neighbourhood lunaparks, operating since 1983 on the city's Asian side in Kadıköy. A compact, family-run fairground with Italian-made rides, it offers classic attractions — bumper cars, a Ferris wheel, a horror tunnel, and a gondola ride — all without an entry gate fee, just pay per ride. Its central location near the Bostancı ferry pier and the Kadıköy–Kartal road makes it easy to drop into for an evening of nostalgic fun.↗↗
A Time-Honoured Fairground
Founded in 1983 as a family business, Bostancı Lunapark has been a fixture of the neighbourhood for over four decades. It sits on the busy Kadıköy–Kartal corridor, a stone's throw from the Bostancı Gösteri Merkezi (performance venue), which means on event nights the area buzzes with crowds heading to and from concerts and shows. The park itself doesn't sprawl across hectares; instead, it packs a surprisingly generous cluster of rides into a tight footprint, giving it the intimacy of a traditional Turkish lunapark rather than the scale of a modern theme park.↗↗
