AT A GLANCE
Why go?
ZIP-ITT Adventure Tours is Trinidad's signature jungle canopy experience, tucked into the green hills above Macqueripe Bay on the island's northwest peninsula, roughly half an hour from Port of Spain. A seven-line zipline and five-rope canopy-walk course strings together more than two kilometres of cable and netting through the treetops of Tucker Valley, with the highest lines running about 30 metres (100 feet) off the ground.↗↗↗
What makes it special is the combination of adrenaline and scenery: you fly over secluded coves and rainforest canopy with sweeping views of Macqueripe Bay, then step out onto swaying rope bridges between lines. A small, hands-on crew handles the safety briefings and gear checks, and reviewers consistently single out the guides for patience and professionalism — reassuring if it is your first time on a zipline.↗↗
Flying the canopy at Macqueripe
The course is built around a simple rhythm: clip on, leap off a platform and rocket down a line, then walk a suspension net bridge to the next launch point. Five rope bridges connect the seven lines, so you are alternating between high-speed descents and a wobbly stroll through the upper forest — a design that keeps the pace fun without ever feeling like a queue. Operators describe the park as internationally certified, and visitors repeatedly note that staff double- and triple-check every harness before sending you out.
