Hotel Lago Titicaca needs some serious renovations to claim they are a 5 star hotel. Service at the front desk was not too friendly and the restaurant seemed to follow behind which might require looking at the entire team. They have a property that is capable of being truly remarkable but ownership and management just don’t know how to make that happen. Very sad.

We really enjoyed our time at GHL hotel. The staff was friendly, the room was outstanding, the breakfast was very good. Clean room, good housekeeping, great view, good location. Very hot hot tub. Our stay at GHL Hotel Lago Titicaca was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with professional hospitality, and the entire staff was fluent in English, making everything seamless. The hotel is beautifully decorated, from the lobby to the restaurant, creating a wonderful atmosphere for guests. Our room was spotless and featured a breathtaking, dreamy view of the lake. We were touched by the thoughtful details, like the fresh flowers and the delicious variety of fresh fruits waiting for us in the room. The dining experience was a highlight—the dinner was incredibly tasty with a wide variety of options and great drinks. The breakfast was equally impressive, offering a luxurious and top-tier selection. We highly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness and service. We truly hope to have the chance to stay here again!

David was our server for the dinner on Aug. 27th and also for the breakfast on Aug. 28th. He is fabulous and tried his best to give us exceptional service the both days. He is very professional as well as personable. He has a very pleasant personality and he knows how to please his guests. He takes personal interest in giving the best service to his guests. He made our stay memorable.

We stayed at the GHL Hotel in Puno, Peru, and first impressions were great. Driving up, it has the feel of a beautiful resort-style property, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were actually one of the highlights. They were clean, the beds were very comfortable, and housekeeping did a great job maintaining them. I had no complaints about the accommodations themselves. That said, the hotel could really benefit from some updates in its main common areas. Many of them are showing their age, especially the spa, which feels like it may be original to the hotel. The older carpets and overall condition made it feel a bit dated, although the self-care area was nice. The restaurant was another mixed experience. The food was good, but we felt it was overpriced for both the quality and portion sizes. After a few days, the menu became repetitive, so we decided to head into town for dinner on our last night. I also think the hotel is missing an opportunity to offer more evening dining options and family-friendly activities, especially since the colder weather encourages many guests to stay on the property. Now for the highlight: breakfast. Absolutely outstanding! Without question, one of the best breakfast buffets we've experienced while traveling throughout Peru. The variety, freshness, and quality were exceptional. Don't miss it if you stay here—it was easily the best part of the dining experience. Overall, we enjoyed our stay thanks to the friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and incredible breakfast. With some renovations to the common areas, expanded dining options, and a few more family-friendly amenities, this hotel could easily become one of the top places to stay in Puno.

Our stay at GHL Hotel Lago Titicaca was phenomenal. We were lucky enough to get a room with one of the most incredible views imaginable, and waking up overlooking the lake was genuinely special. The service throughout the stay was very good, and the location itself is spectacular given the hotel sits on a private island, which makes the whole experience feel peaceful and unique. The spa facilities were also fantastic and definitely worth making time for during your stay. A couple of things I would call out, however: I would avoid booking tours through the hotel. The prices were almost double what we found elsewhere, with no obvious added value. I’d personally recommend finding a reputable local guide and organising your Lake Titicaca day trips independently. Similarly, the hotel restaurant was noticeably overpriced compared to other options in the area. Aside from that, though, this was an excellent stay overall and a very memorable experience.

Stayed for 2 nights on a group tour, very nice setting with gardens and outside space. The rooms were smaller than others we have stayed in, but adequate. The breakfast was comprehensive and well presented. The bar also did a nice range of light meals, pizza, burgers etc.

Great Location and Views, But Room Comfort and Dining Need ImprovementWe stayed at GHL Hotel Lago Titicaca for two nights during our visit to Puno. The hotel's location and views were absolutely beautiful.However, we experienced several issues regarding comfort and dining:Heating Issues: The rooms were heated only by a fan heater, which was barely enough. As soon as it turned off, the room cooled down instantly. The rest of the hotel was also very cold, including the breakfast hall.Bathroom Problems: The shower water pressure was very low, and the bathtub drain kept getting clogged.Dining Quality: While the breakfast hall itself was nice, the quality of the food was disappointing due to the poor quality of the oils used in the dishes.The view and location are stunning, but the heating system, plumbing, and food quality definitely need to be upgraded for a better guest experience.
