Great hotel, room service options are phenomenal. I had issues with the TV where not all channels were operational, and the wifi instructions are different from the instructions on the info provided upon arrival. Due to the challenges of the television, I would have hoped for technology to be able to cast my own shows to the TV, which was also not an option. The staff upon my asking for support were good and couldn’t do anything outside of what was happening! Room was clean and tidy. Good stay overall!

We really loved our room and all the special touches, including the chocolates, the exceptional cleanliness and the professional service. Everything inside the hotel was exactly what you would expect from a 4 star property. The price was also very reasonable considering you have access to a large heated indoor pool, spa pools, Sky Movies and such a spotless, comfortable room. Unfortunately, the pool and spa area was the complete opposite and this is where the hotel really fell very short for us. Especially when we were trying to unwind after a busy work week. From the time we arrived until the time we left, there were children screaming, running and bombing into both the pool and spa areas. There is a large sign clearly stating no running and no bombing, but the rules appeared to be completely ignored and there did not seem to be anyone - including their parents, monitoring or enforcing them. At one point we watched a group of elderly Japanese tourists trying to relax in the spa pools while children were running between the spas and the main pool, leaving water all over the concrete. One of the Japanese ladies nearly slipped over and they understandably looked very upset. I even mentioned to one mother that her three children under 6, were repeatedly bombing into the pool, but was ignored. Shortly afterwards her young son ran across the wet tiles and almost slipped badly while trying to jump into the pool. He just about cracked his head open. There were probably around ten children in total behaving this way and, with all the screaming, running and bombing, it honestly felt more like a busy public swimming pool than the pool area of an international 4 star hotel. What makes it such a shame is that the hotel does so many other things extremely well. The rooms, cleanliness, facilities, service and value were all excellent. But if you are promoting spa pools and a heated indoor pool as part of a relaxing hotel stay, the rules around those areas need to be monitored. Unfortunately, because of our experience in the pool area, we would not stay again, which is disappointing because everything else about the hotel was very good.

Overall it was great! The heated pool was great, beautiful seperate spa area. the Staff were great and very friendly. Comfortable beds and clean room. But my complaint was the smell on level 3. It was typical rotorua smell, but it was only on our level? And our bathroom smelt just so horribly, NOT normal rotorua. It was pungent, we think coming through the vent on the floor. I wanted to ask to move rooms but my husband wouldn't. Just beware if you are on level 3. We probably won't stay here again for fear of dealing with that again. I want to give it 4.5stars if we didn't get traumatized from how bad the bathroom smelt, honestly!

Great stay here for work, room was a newly renovated balcony room, it was really practically thought out with everything you need, including a jug and milk. There was a large shower, good storage and comfy bed. All the staff were more than helpful, offering to take my bag to the room. Location is perfect, you can walk to the Polynesian pools next door, but there are hot pools onsite too. Breakfast - one of the best I've had, on parr with intercontinental. Great choice, ill be back.

We had the most lovely stay at the Millennium! The newly renovated rooms are so lovely and modern, plus the club lounge was great with nightly drinks included - definitely worth the upgrade! Great food as well at both breakfast and dinner. Thanks for a great stay team!

The hotel was good, but the housekeeping was poor. Our room was not serviced until 4 pm on two days. Another problem we had was with the pillows. They were too thick for both of us to sleep comfortably. We requested the hotel to provide us thin pillows but they had none.

We stayed at the Millennium last week and had a great stay. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the rooms were newly refurbished and a good size and the beds were really comfortable. We dined in at their restaurant and all enjoyed our meals. We had rooms on the fourth floor over looking the lovely garden area. The hotel is situated within easy walking distance of shops, cafes and restaurants. We usually stay at The Novotel but from now on will go to The Millennium- the room rates are better, the rooms of a higher quality and the overall feel is welcoming.

I had a fantastic stay at Millennium Hotel Rotorua and would happily give it a full 5 stars. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of Rotorua and within easy walking distance of key attractions, restaurants, and the lake. It made exploring the area incredibly convenient. The hotel itself has a great atmosphere, and the in-house bar was a real highlight. It’s a lovely spot to unwind in the evening with a well-made drink and a relaxed vibe after a day of sightseeing. The rooms were clean, very comfortable beds, and well-appointed, providing everything needed for a relaxing stay. I especially appreciated how quiet and restful it was at night. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service from the staff. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, thanks in particular to Joshua, who was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. He set the tone for the entire stay and made a great first impression. Overall, a wonderful experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others visiting Rotorua.
