This is such a lovely little hostel! It has such pretty decor, incredibly comfortable beds, clean and good facilities. It's location to the city centre and where the nightlife is, is excellent. Only a 10 minute walk or so. The lady here Alisa is so nice and helpful, I can see that she cares about this hostel and its guests and that means so much as someone who had been using hostels for 15+ years and have been in some utterly soulless ones. I loved the special edition Bratz dolls you can see and how you can buy hats knitted by Finnish nanas here! 😊 I will definitely be booking to stay here again when I return to Rovaniemi and I will be recommending it to all who I meet who are coming this way 🩷 This hostel is so cozy and comfortable, it would be a great choice for a stay in Lapland.

Thank you so much Alisa for your hospitality! I spent only one night there but I made a really good friend. The hostel has a such a great vibe that you don’t wanna leave it. It has everything you will need and super clean. It’s like a cosy space for solo travellers. The location is absolutely banging! Right in the city centre with easy access to bus stops. Lots of love! Hope to come back next year an stay longer

Great location, room is clean, kitchen has all the amenities, love the space of the living area. However, some people couldn’t respect the silence at night. There’s also only one bathroom and one toilet so we constantly have to queue at night and in the morning. I’d like to thank the host however for giving me the bottom bunk knowing my knee issue :)

Had a great stay, Alisa is a very great host and super friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming, feels like family. The location is great as well. Even greater would only be with one more bathroom, but it worked out well.

A Huge Thank You for a Wonderful Stay!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! We stayed at this hostel for a few days and are leaving with the warmest memories! Everything was simply wonderful. Everything is thoughtfully arranged for guest comfort. A special thank you to the staff!! you are so attentive, friendly, and always ready to help! Your advice on where to go and what to see was invaluable. A special shout-out to Alisa she was amazing and so friendly! We loved her! The shared kitchen is equipped with everything you need, and it was so pleasant to chat with other travelers in the common room in the evenings. You can really feel that the people here love what they do and care about their guests. We will definitely stay here again if we're in the city and will recommend you to all our friends! Thank you for your hospitality and the great mood! 😊

This hostel is excellent!|It’s located right in the center of Rovaniemi, which makes it very convenient to get around. The facilities are all very comfortable, and every area is always spotless! I was lucky enough to see the Northern Lights right from the doorstep of the hostel, which made my stay even more magical!|I also have to highlight Alisa’s attention — she is always attentive, very kind, and treats you as if she’s known you forever.|Thank you, Wherever Hostel and Alisa, for everything! Staying at Wherever Hostel was one of the most unexpectedly heart‑warming parts of my trip. Even though it’s a hostel, it has the atmosphere of a cosy shared home. People who had never met before were chilling out on the sofa watching Netflix together, while others chatted away in the kitchen. It felt instantly welcoming and safe. Alisa is a huge part of what makes this place special. She was incredibly laid‑back and accommodating from the moment I arrived. I was there very early in the morning, and she let me drop off my things and freshen up and chill on the sofa before going off on my tour. On my second day, she went above and beyond to help me have an unforgettable experience with Matias from Arctic Photo Experience. She handled all the organising and logistics for me, which turned a simple idea into a highlight of my trip. Throughout my stay, she created such a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere, the kind where you instantly feel at ease. She even took the time to show me how to use the Moka pot so I could make proper coffee in the morning, which has led to me planning on getting one for at home. I can truly recommend Wherever Hostel to anyone looking for a cosy, friendly place to stay while exploring Finland. Alisa makes it feel like home, and that’s something rare and wonderful to find.
