Our Overall Recommendation: No – Unless You Plan Very Carefully As we are currently on our way back home to Australia, we were travelling with four large suitcases (approximately 120 kg in total) and three pieces of hand luggage. Because of this, our number one requirement when booking accommodation was a parking space. Reasons for Not Recommending This Property 1. Parking – Not as Advertised|Although the property advertises parking, it is **not located at the accommodation itself. Instead, you are required to park at a separate office some distance away. This meant that every time we needed something as simple as a T-shirt or a change of clothes, we had to walk back to the car. On top of that, the parking incurs a daily fee, making it both inconvenient and more expensive than expected. 2. No Running Water for 24 Hours|After driving almost 700 km (around 10 hours), all we wanted was a shower. Unfortunately, there was no running water whatsoever for the first 24 hours of our stay. A technician was only called the following day, meaning we had to wait until then before we could shower. After such a long journey, this was extremely disappointing. 3. Accessibility Issues|While the apartment itself was spacious and comfortable, it was located on the third floor with stair access only. There is no lift. This raises concerns for travellers with mobility issues or disabilities, as well as anyone travelling with heavy luggage. 4. Poor Check-in Communication|When we arrived, there was no signage explaining where to check in, nor had we received any prior communication advising us that the reception office was located elsewhere. We were fortunate to arrive around 6:00 pm, while the office was still open. Had we arrived after 8:00 pm, we would likely have been locked out with no clear way to access the apartment. Thankfully, some kind young guests already staying at the property gave us the office phone number. I had to make the call using my Australian mobile, which incurred additional international charges. The staff member explained that Agoda had not provided them with my contact details, but regardless of where the error occurred, this information should have been communicated well before arrival. One Big Positive The bed was, without question, the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in during any of our holidays—and we travel extensively. It was exceptionally comfortable and made for a wonderful night's sleep. Final Thoughts If you decide to stay here, make sure you carefully plan your arrival, parking arrangements, and check-in process to avoid unnecessary stress. For the same price we paid, we believe the Grand Park (5-star)* offers significantly better value, convenience, and overall service.

It was a great apartment. Fantastic location: 1 minute from the sea, and having amazing views of rovnij when you walk to the sea. The views where breathless!! Also you have a nice restaurant like a minute a way and a big supermarket like 2 minutes away. The walk to the downtown is amazing. Watching the islands the boat and the church. They manage the operation very well. The apartment was clean and quite new. Much much better than the average. We had serious problems and Manuel was very helpful finding solutions. The cleaning girls were very understanding for the situation and very patient. I am very thankful to them.

It seems to be on the centar, but it's not. Parking far from the room. The exterior is quite dirty and there are a lot od stairs. The room is very small. The bathroom is also very small, it's always wet and nas an unpleasant smell. The soundproofing is very bed, you can here your neighbors. The lady at the check-out was very nervous, they make you leave the room as slon as possible. The internet didn't work, the water pressure is very weak.

Very good stay. Just a small problem with the Wi-Fi ! Very poor speed and impossible to connect my computer. Also, the TV wasn't working. But for a short stay, it wasn't too much of a problem.

At first, I thought it was a nice apartment with a balcony. Then I saw the biggest molds on the ceilings both in the bedroom and the bathroom. I stayed there three nights from January 25th-28th, 2024. I was disappointed immediately, but thought I might be okay. After leaving there, I got sick with a dry throat which is caused by that. I’ve had a previous experience that was similar with mold and I also got sick the same way. Mold is dangerous!! This was unacceptable! If there’s mold, then it shouldn’t be rented at all! I’m sure they know they have that proble. Like come’on I saw it the min I walked in. By the 2nd day I started smelling the mold, awful!! People’s safety comes first, and they didn’t prioritize that or went out of their way to reimburse me for at least one night when I messaged them about how sick I got from it.

I would give this a "very good" for the property as it was nice and nicer than I expected. The room was equipped with a kitchenette and a really nice big balcony. I was there out of season so couldn't fully appreciate the balcony, but it was a nice outdoor space. What wasn't so good was the check-in process. I booked through Hotels.com, and on none of the communications was the name of the rental people (I forget their name now but it began with an A). I duly communicated or tried to communicate through Hotels.com as requested. I explained that I was driving from Zagreb and would let them know when I landed so they knew when to expect me. At that point they made me aware that I would need to go to the office of the rental agency and then be taken to the property. It was dark by the time I arrived and the gateway was right off a main road onto a one way street, having been in the country 4 hours on my own in a hire car, this was not helpful. They didn't respond to the messages through Hotels.com but had at no point given me their direct details which would have helped greatly. Eventually I had to phone a Croation phone number from my English phone (don't know what that's cost me) to be quite rudely asked "where you are you then ? Did you not follow the instructions". Which, yes I had, I just didn't know if I was in the right place or not. The chap was out delivering another couple to thir property and he told me to wait and he would come back for me. Which he duly did. I left the car at their office that first night as the parking was unclear. However the next day I was able to park near the property, so that was good. They would have come and got me again on checkout day if my car was at theirs. This did negatively impact my initial first impressions - when I said that if I had been given a bit more info it would have been fine and the chap said I should have googled it ?? But googled what ? The process works, but it would be so much better if everyone knew what was happening. I was then given their watsapp number, which is their phone number, but again, you only know that if you know ! THat made it much easier and I was able to message as I checked out. So, the property was nice, its a great location. I don't want to sound negative, but things need to be clearer - especially when using third party platforms.

|Check in is at Avior Holidays (off-site) where parking is 10euros per day. Otherwise street parking may be available. If you choose their location your car will be safe and they will shuttle you to and from your rental (They have many more than just Sunset Residences). Our unit was quite small with a terrace. Fine for a night or two but would have otherwise found it too small. Close to waterfront, restaurants and park. |

Location is great, you are like 200 meters from see, and have 10 minutes walk to old town on one side, and beaches in the park on the other. Rooms are clean, our apartment was big enough, with nice terrace.
