You have to be careful if you stay at this place during hot days. The air conditioned may not really mean full air conditioned for the entire room. Well we booked the room for 2 adults and 2 kids. The room with bed has air conditioning but the room for kids only has a ceiling fan. It didn’t really work and we have to give the room to kids. Sadly We cannot really sleep for the stay. Have to mention the staffs are really nice and helpful though

This lovely hotel is just inside San Gimigniano’s town gate in a couple of medieval buildings on the main route to the town centre. Consequently, this road is very busy with tour groups on foot but not cars - most vehicles are excluded from the walled town. The whole town becomes less crowded after the tour groups have gone and it’s a great place to walk around in the evening - the hotel is close to the centre. We decided to upgrade to a room with a countryside view, and we were very pleased that we did: the view was sensational, particularly in the morning, with the sun rising and the mist clearing. It was also quiet at all times. The room itself was comfortable and spacious, with a decent shower room. Breakfast is in the restaurant, which is at the back of the hotel and has a great view over the countryside. There’s a wide choice of cheese, ham, salami, bread, croissants, sweet pastries, and you can ask for eggs to be made in whatever way you want. The restaurant (under separate management) is also very good. Last but not least, the staff are all very helpful and friendly.

Ideally located at one of the city entrances. A walking distance to everything. The rooms are clean, renovated, the showers are new. The noise level is acceptable.

The hotel is down a pedestrian only part of the walled town. A beautiful building from the outside & inside. Our room had a view across the Tuscany countryside and also the town with the towers. Absoultely stunning & mesmorising. The breakfast room also has this view. Breakfast was delicious.

Stayed 4 nights on a walking holiday. Great location! Beautiful view from a large share balcony. Room modern and |clean. Real downside very little sound insulation between rooms. Breakfast okay. Sadly no bar and restaurant possibly overrated and expensive. Lovely views though.

A truly idyllic setting. The hotel offers spacious, spotless rooms and a great breakfast with breathtaking views over the Tuscan hills. The staff were fantastic - a special thank you to everyone at the front desk who went out of their way to help us. The hotel is located on a pedestrian street, but secure parking is available and located very close by. While the hotel isn't cheap, the stunning location and overall experience make it worth it and I would definitely recommend.
