What a nice surprise! We wish we were staying here longer. We only planned on one night here and now we wish we had more time to enjoy it longer. This hotel and city are incredibly lovely and peaceful. I appreciate the charm kept with the updates in this historic structure. Don't skip the breakfast! It's amazing! The staff here are very nice. The views!! The view from my window is so pleasant (I opted for a random room at check in for a lower rate - very pleased with my room!) and my parents had a balcony with a stunning view of the hills and countryside. I will definitely be back to Convento Capuchinos and Segovia.

The Aurea Capuchinos Hotel is in a former Capuchin monastery built in the 1600s and later used for military purposes. It has been thoughtfully renovated, combining the charm of the old structure and clean, modern lines. The hotel sits along the central area of old Segovia, maybe a 5-minute walk to the Plaza Mayor and the town’s magnificent cathedral, and perhaps 15 minutes each way to either the Roman aqueduct or the Alcazar Castle. It’s a terrific location. The rooms are spacious, well decorated, and comfortable. One of our rooms was the junior suite, which had wonderful views of the countryside. The lobby and atrium areas are also well furnished and are great places to socialize. The hotel has an underground parking garage, which is a great asset in a town where parking can be hard to find. Because the garage is under the hotel, and we’re dealing with a 400-year old structure, you have to take two separate elevators, but they send you clear directions. We found this to be an ideal location both to tour the town and to relax. We came here at the end of a two-week trip and one member of our party commented that it was their favorite hotel of our entire trip. This is a wonderful hotel.

Our room opened onto a shared terrace where we could watch the sunrise in the morning—absolutely beautiful! The room itself was clean and tidy, though the bathroom was almost awkwardly large—not sure if that’s a pro or con. The building itself is exceptionally beautiful, and the staff were incredibly welcoming.

We were on a road trip through Spain and we decided to stay in this hotel because of the ease of access by car and parking on site. The property is beautiful and full of character situated in a historic building. Rooms are very very spacious and clean although furniture is not the best quality. For example very squeaky bed. Nevertheless, we had a great stay and the employees are very nice and helpful. Also, they have a very good restaurant on site. For the price of around 150 EUR per night I think it is great value for money. |The property is located just off the old town, like 5 minutes walking and about 15 to 20 minutes walking to the Aqueduct. If I could I would give it a score of 4.5. @tripadvisor please allow for half point scoring.

Beautiful building and great central location to visit Segovia but the grounds need much better upkeeping (ashtrays were full of cigarettes butts, some wrappers on the floor of the outside breakfast area) The rooms are large and offer a gorgeous view on the nearby valley and convents. However the very disappointing part is clearly the service: nowhere near what you’d expect at a 5 stars hotel (front desk staff was clearly bothered, my room wasn’t ready at 2:00pm and they did not offer any sort of accommodation as I waited, even asking a coffee downstairs did not work) Still the best hotel in town but for lack of serious competition. My advice: retrain your staff and everything will be much better!

Beautiful building and good location! The rooms and bathrooms are big and have an Nespresso maker. Instructions on parking prior to arrival would be helpful. A mattress topper to join the two twin beds into a king without a crack and separate sheets would also be a preferred option. Not sure if the spa is worth it. We would stay again though!

We stayed in a superior suite with three aspect windows and high ceilings. Excellent bathroom. Overall, we similar experience as our Parador experiences in Leon and Santiago. Atmospheric historic building. Excellent service. Easy walk to Plaza Mayor. And very good value at much lower cost than Parador.

We booked for 2 nights at this hotel on our way to Portugal. We stayed in a large room, with a very large bed, that had peaceful views across attractive countryside facing away from the city. Although nearby rooms were occupied we found the rooms to be very quiet. The bed was very comfortable, with lots of room, and was fairly close to the lobby and reception. Covered, dedicated hotel Parking is available, at a one-off cost of €15-, and there is an EV charger there which you can prepay for with a contactless card, which was a big plus for us. Although the charger is a slow charger we left it on overnight and it served its purpose. It is a slightly convoluted passage from the car park to the hotel, but once you have done it once, it is not a big deal. If driving to the hotel, be sure to carefully follow the directions for the car park as it is different to driving to the front of the hotel. We received an email which gave a specific address to enter into our SatNav to ensure we reached the car park where, one floor up, there is dedicated parking for guests of the hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend it. You can order hot egg dishes (the cheese omelette was very good) as well as take advantage of a widespread buffet selection. The lobby serves food and drink all day which, if like us you had had a long day reaching there, was a bonus instead of waiting until 8pm, or often later, to access a restaurant in town. The dishes we ordered were all very good, if a little pricey. Staff were friendly and very helpful, and we thought the hotel was first rate and very good value. We will definitely stay there again, when we visit the lovely city of Segovia.
