This was truly one of the most elegant and beautifully designed hotels I have ever stayed in in Europe. Its location was exceptional—just a two-minute walk from the Cathedral and within 5–15 minutes of most of the main attractions and restaurants. Our room was spotless. We chose a terrace room, which had a magical view of the Cathedral spires—absolutely beautiful. The shower was over the bath and had excellent water pressure. A particular highlight for me was the hairdryer with a diffuser! Breakfast was abundant, with freshly prepared eggs, fresh fruit and a wonderful selection of breads. There was also top-quality Iberian ham, bacon and sausages, along with a tempting array of cakes and churros. Our favourite restaurant nearby was Taberna La Esencial.

The Aurea Toledo was the perfect base for exploring Toledo. The staff was excellent. Kelvin [sp?] gave us a tour of the hotel and explained the history. The rooms with the murals were very special. The breakfast was excellent. Our room had a terrace, where we enjoyed our morning coffee. We really enjoyed our two night stay.

We were only able to visit Toledo for one night, but were lucky enough to stay at the Aurea Toledo. This is probably the nicest hotel we stayed at during our 10-day visit to Spain at the end of June-early July, 2026. The hotel's location near the cathedral was perfect. We were tired and hot when we arrived, and just walking into the lobby was refreshing. All of the staff members were helpful and professional; our room was lovely, and the building was a hidden gem. I highly recommend this hotel! We also hope to stay at other Aurea hotels if we have the chance to visit Europe again.

We stayed two nights in December with the family. We took two rooms with balconies. The views are incredible and the hotel is absolutely magnificent and the staff was quite nice. They could be nicer and they’re very typical Spanish. Overall very highly recommended.

This is a really great hotel in every way: friendly front desk people, comfortable room, fantastic location, terrific breakfast, and nice facilities. We left something behind and the front desk folks immediately contacted us and helped us get it shipped to us. The history literally coming out of the walls is very cool and the fact that it is just a few steps from the cathedral but tucked away gave us such a great sense of the magic of being in Toledo. We had a room with a small porch and oh, the view!

Well situated quiet, clean, modern hotel in a historic building near the Cathedral. The decor is tasteful and preserves much of the history of the building. Service was efficient, friendly and helpful – and the marzipan sweets at reception were a real treat. Fun to get to in a taxi from the station navigating the narrow streets at speed. Our room was a good size and comfortable. Breakfast was varied and of quality. Cant fault this hotel.

The Aurea Toledo is a hidden gem and we couldn’t ask for a better experience. It's four old buildings dating back to the 1100s that were renovated into one hotel. Our room was large, clean, modern and had a wall with original brickwork and art prints. The fresh fruit platter waiting for us when we checked in and the grab bag with water and candy at checkout are thoughtful touches that even 5 star hotels miss these days. The location was great and within 2-5 minutes walk to the cathedral, town square, restaurants and other sights. Highly recommend!

Really nice hotel with modern contemporary feel. Please ensurethat you message them to guarantee a double bed, if you want one. We asked for a double room and got a twin. Luckily I had messaged to say that we want a double bed otherwise we would look elsewhere. No reply so we thought that would jot be an issue. It was. They eventually upgraded us to a room with a double bed but this required a bit of fuss. Hotel does not have a bar or restaurant but serves a buffet breakfast in the morning. We didn't pay the 22 Euros and had a lovely breakfast in one of the many places within a short walk, which was a lot cheaper.
