Great location, just a short walk to Rippon vineyard and able to walk into town as well. Lovely and very friendly staff. We stayed on an unpowered tent site which was fine. Unfortuantely a lot of the facilities need updating and repairing. The toilets/bathrooms were extremely cold without proper heating. The paint was peeling and walls looked damp. The kitchen also needs fixing. There were old appliances and clearly a hot water tank had been taken off the wall and not replaced. There were hot plates on the metal countertops which clearly state they should not be used on a metal surface. Again kitchen lacked heating and good seating options. TV room was okay but had no working TV and no working heating or air conditioning so was very cold. We have been travelling around New Zealand and have stayed in many campsites, holiday parks, huts, and hostels and this was by far the worst one. Overall I would not recomend staying here until there are some serious renovations on the shared facilities.

We had a wonderful time at this Holiday Park. What really made the difference was the staff – they were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. Whenever we needed something or had a question, they were quick to help and always did so with a smile. It’s clear they genuinely care about making guests feel welcome and comfortable. The whole team’s positive attitude made our holiday so much more enjoyable, and it’s the kind of thing that makes you want to come back. Highly recommend this place, especially if you value great customer service!

Do NOT believe a word of any negative reviews! We have just this second left this site after staying in our camper. What a LOVELY site! Best showers (hot and good pressure). Lovely staff on arrival, very helpful. Beautiful views and great nights sleep. Facilities are good, kitchen has an oven (adding this as I searched for this myself when shopping before we arrived). Large kitchen, clean (apart from some of the guests best attempts - who I cleaned up after!) Great site, would recommend and will definitely come back. Has laundry at reasonable price, well spaced sites with picnic tables and kitchen has pretty much everything you need! People that review this negativity must have different expectations of camper life and should probably stay in a Hyatt somewhere 🤷‍♀️ Close to town, had a pool, recycling and a dump site. Not really sure what else anyone could ask for. We really enjoyed it and had lovely evening and morning views with bunnies running around! Recommend, especially for the price! Thank you for having us.

We stayed at this campground for two nights and we definitely love it here. The bathroom was clean with comfortable shower. The kitchen was roomy. The campervan site was spacious with a wooden table next to the site. We love the location of the campground as it is close to the town and also the Roys Peak track. Very convenient!

We had a powered site for 1 night in May. My main complaint is that the power box pole was not placed in the middle among the campervan lots, i.e., I had to stretch my power cable to the power box - my power cable was literally hanging off the ground. If another campervan were to come in during the night, it would have very likely damaged our cable. Other than this, my stay here was quite satisfactory. The staff was helpful, the campervan grounds were clean, although a few bins were tipped over during the night, probably by animals. Kitchen had more than sufficient utensils and cookware, the bathrooms and toilets were clean and had hot water. ** For those who enjoy long hot showers, I strongly encourage you to read the note at the shower stalls. ** Mt Aspiring Holiday Park is less than 10 minutes drive from Wanaka town and there was ample parking during the shoulder season of winter.

Check in was easy as and the place was lovely being just a 3 min drive from wanaka. Only lost a star as if you book into an uncovered site you have to walk a while to get to the bathrooms and showers. There are only 3 blocks of bathrooms and showeres in the whole campground which isnt too much of a problem just be prepared to wait in lines to use them at busier times of the day. Great friendly staff too !

I stay in power campsite. The shower room: hot water and the water pressure are strong and hot, no time limit. The kitchen: have to bring own pans, pots, anything. They just provide electric cooker, toaster, microwave, kettle, fridge. Here are dump and fresh water supplies.

Very tired and dated. Expensive for what it is. The place is poorly maintained and dirty. It is not cleaned well or often enough (once per day) for the number of guests. The kitchens are not clean because many guests don't clean up after themselves. Having empty dish detergent containers doesn't help. We had a terrible smell behind our room. I suspect the septic tanks are not maintained either and full up like the two blocked toilets in the women's bathroom reception. The swimming pool looked grubby too as if the filtration wasn't working. The reception staff are pleasant but clearly out of their depth. I would definitely not recommend it.
