Small little lodging, simple yet comforting, in the heart of Antigua. Rooms are quiet and comfortable, but no AC (windows do open, and there is a strong fan that blows right on the bed so sleep is good). Housekeeping is daily and a water cooler is both upstairs and downstairs. There is also a kitchen and a refrigerator in the common area by the dining area and lobby. Front desk is manned 24/7--a small hotel, but with big time service. Airport rides can be arranged, both dropoff and pickup. My driver was 15 minutes late retrieving me from the airport but it was due to heavy traffic, not her fault. Hint: Make sure you have WhatsApp in case something similar happens on your stay. The entire area is safe and many dining places and ATMs are an easy walk away. The supermarket is one block away (get the tacos del pastor in the dining area there before they close at 8:30 PM). I am glad to have discovered this charming little lodging with pleasant staff (daytime bilingual, nighttime Spanish only). Definitely book this if you are staying in Antigua.

Liars and crooks! You book a double room and last minute they say that the only room available is a noisy 3 bed room right next to reception. Instead of cancelling, or offering a discount they lied and reported my credit card as invalid. A trick to blame the customer in front of booking.com Stay away if you care about your vacation!

Where do I even begin? Sadly, this hotel was our first introduction to hospitality in Antigua and it failed on every possible level. I find these various five and four star reviews quite bizarre - were they posted by the friends and family of the owners, staff and management, paid influencers, did they even stay at the same establishment as we did? We booked a five-night stay in late October, and Room 1 near the reception desk was one of the very few options available in the city over the Christmas period. For a so-called three-star hotel in a developing country, the rate was still around US$78 per night (before tax). With limited alternatives in that price range, we reluctantly booked. After a very long journey, we checked in and entered the room only to feel as though we had stepped into a slum. The room was dark, depressing, and felt unclean. The bathroom was the worst part: so cramped that when sitting on the toilet, your head literally hit the sink. The pictures shown on their ad / website doesn't accurately represent how dark, depressing and unclean the rooms actually are. We suspect the photos have been brightened and doctored to show something thats not an accurate representation. After just one night, we immediately set out the next morning to find alternative accommodation. We secured a room at another hotel for US$50 per night, likely also three-star, but far cleaner and significantly better maintained. Every other hotel we visited on foot was charging several times what we had paid, without offering quality that justified the price. We returned to this hotel and asked to cancel the remainder of our stay and receive a refund. Given the condition of the room, I was even willing to accept a partial refund. After an extended back-and-forth between the receptionist and her supervisor, we were eventually told flatly that no refund would be provided. The only option offered was an “upgrade” to a larger upstairs room for an additional US$20 per night, paid in cash. With few realistic alternatives, we had little choice but to accept. At this point, we were paying close to US$100 per night for clearly substandard accommodation. Apart from slightly more space, the condition of the larger room was no better! By this point I was missing Mexico and the Mexicans. After long days exploring the city, it was genuinely depressing to return to this hotel and room each night. Service was average at best, with the sole exception of the cleaner, who was genuinely attentive. One example, on December 23rd, I asked reception what public events, parades, or performances were planned for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. After briefly scrolling through her phone, the receptionist looked at me and said, in perfect English, “There is nothing.” The next day, we accidentally stumbled upon a large parade and church procession near the central square, with additional public celebrations at other churches over both days. Whether the staff are poorly trained, disengaged, or simply uninterested is unclear. By the end of our stay, we could not wait to leave. We later traveled to Lake Atitlán, where the four-star lodge we stayed in was worlds apart in every respect - service, room quality, and overall experience (including a 180 degree panoramic view of Lake Atitlan and the surrounding volcanos) - and cost only US$50 more per night than what we paid for the so-called “upgraded” room here. Avoid PDL at all costs. It is a genuinely poor excuse for a hotel. My military barracks during basic training in 1990 were in far better condition than the rooms here in 2025. An absolutely disgraceful experience!

Great place to stay! The staff was very nice, especially Yesica, and the location is perfect—close to everything. Would definitely stay here again.

This location is perfect, everything is walkable from here. The views from the room are amazing and there's a cute courtyard to hang out in. It was quiet at nights, clean, comfortable and the receptionists both spoke great English and were able to modify our reservation easily even after we checked in. Fast and reliable internet. Airport pickup was very convenient and reasonably priced and booking shared shuttle to lake atitlan was super easy. Highly recommend this hotel!

Small hotel/ hostel that we all enjoyed. Francis on the front desk was wonderful. Great attitude and super helpful. Hotel clean and homey. Central location was a plus. Grocery store close by. Lots of nice restaurants close by. There was a nice courtyard to meet in.

My friend and I came to this hotel hot, worn out, and stressed after last-minute changes to our travel plans. We wanted a quiet refuge from the city and found that here. The room itself was spacious and beautifully furnished. The hotel was centrally located but somehow the most quiet place we stayed at in Antigua. they offer a lovely little terrace and, perhaps best of all, we got to meet and love on my the sweet little resident dog, Luna. The hotel offers fresh water and staff was kind and helpful. I see some reviews mention the lack of airflow in the rooms. It was warm in the room, but… A/C isn’t really a feature in Guatemala, and the room was if anything cooler than other, more expensive rooms we booked. Overall, would recommend if you’re looking for a quiet, convenient, cozy spot!

The available tours here were all very misleading, so we weren’t able to book any of them. In addition, they tried to squeeze $2 out of us for doing laundry. Be aware of additional fees. We got bug bites in the room, it was noisy for more than one night (outside and several neighbors), and there wasn’t AC (there was a fan, though). The location was prime, and everything was at most a 10 minute walk. There was also hot water and free coffee.
