Wonderful stay at Riad Alhambra Chaouen (Taj Chefchaouen)! From the moment we arrived, Faizah at reception was incredibly welcoming, and honestly the entire staff was kind and helpful throughout our stay. I also had a massage with Kaoutar, who was fantastic — highly recommend booking a treatment with her if you can. The rooms were spotless and beautifully organized. The only small downside was that there was no conditioner provided in the bathroom, so I’d suggest bringing your own just in case. The view over the city is absolutely beautiful, and the rooftop restaurant had live music, which made for a really special evening. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chefchaouen!

The staff are friendly and accommodating and the hotel was clean. However it falls short of luxury for the price tag and certainly not five star. The location is at the very top of the medina which requires a steep ascent & descent to reach the main attractions. It's also in a noisy neighborhood and the hotel lacks good sound insulation both externally and internally. The breakfast buffet was not refilled through service and largely consisted of cold platters of processed meats and cakes. They charged extra for anything but instant coffee. We chose not to take dinner in the hotel as the menu consisted of simple Moroccan, French & Italian staples at inflated prices. Room size was OK but bathroom tiny. View faced back of the hotel onto a graveyard. The coffee machine in the bedroom was defective. Toiletries provided were a simple all in one soap/shampoo. There's no bar and the rooftop terrace was out of service. At over 200USD it's just not memorable or good value.

I think this is the best hotel you can find in Chefchaouen. Best in terms of new and cleanliness. I was asking some questions to the property before I arrive and the person who replied was so sweet asking when I will arrive so she prepare the bucket of ice waiting in my room. Impressed! Checked in was easy and they present very nice cookies + welcome drink. I booked the biggest room possible at booking.com and we had room 11. it doesn't feel very big as there is no partition in this room. Just a spacious sort of living area and a nice big balcony with fantastic views. Place in general feels like a 3-4 star hotel base on their fittings. Bathroom leaks whenever you shower. Good touch they provide bathrobes and slippers and have a small fridge. There’s a small gym with one treadmill and they said opens at 7am but the door was never locked, so I can hit the gym at 5-6am. They’ve a small indoor pool but just 3 strokes you reach the other end :) Breakfast is good. Love their Msemen which I can use their toaster to make it real crispy! Ready to make eggs but unfortunately no ready to make crepes. |You can order room service, lunch runs 130pm-4pm and dinner starts at 7:30pm. |Disappointing with their spa. They sell duo Hammam spa and when we arrive, there’s only one lady available to cater to us. So she works on one person, the other person wait till the other person is done. If I knew there’s only one person working at the spa, I wouldn’t have book duo package. Location is nice as it is located on top of the hill, you can wander down and see lots of small little stalls but of course you have to wander up after. Staff are all very polite, super nice, friendly and helpful. However, this place is noisy. The noise from the mosque chanting several times a day was loud and clear. All their furnitures should have felt pads stuck on the chairs legs, tables etc as we can hear each time anyone moves their chairs upstairs or cleaning of the place.

Our stay at Hotel Taj Chefchaouen was absolutely wonderful. Achraf, the hotel manager made sure we had the best moroccan experience, the best room with the most beautiful view! The hotel is beautifully designed with authentic Moroccan charm, stunning views of the blue city and mountains, and a peaceful atmosphere throughout. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the breakfast was delicious with fresh local flavors!! The location was also perfect, close enough to explore Chefchaouen easily while still feeling quiet and relaxing. We truly enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend Hotel Taj Chefchaouen to anyone visiting Chefchaoue. would gladly stay here again!!

The dining experience at the Taj Chefchaouen is simply world-class. From the ambiance to the exquisite menu, everything was perfectly executed. I want to give a special mention to Issam, the restaurant manager; his leadership and genuine effort in overseeing the service made our meal truly exceptional. It is clear that he takes great pride in his work and ensures every guest feels well looked after. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Taj Chapuen. The hotel itself is stunning, with breathtaking panoramic views that make every moment feel special.❤️❤️❤️ A special thank you to Hatim and Oussama❤️, who truly made our experience unforgettable. Their warm smiles, attentive service, and genuine hospitality made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. They went above and beyond to look after us, along with the entire reception team who were equally kind and accommodating. The breakfast was beautiful, with a great selection and a relaxed atmosphere that perfectly complemented the setting. Everything about our stay was exceptional, and we couldn’t recommend this place more highly. We will definitely be returning!

I cannot say enough about the hospitality - everyone was so warm and accommodating, true service with a smile. I was here over my Birthday and they decorated my room upon arrival, had beautiful roses in my room and they even made me a cake!! Irons/steamers are not in the room, but upon request we had one immediately. Breakfast was yummy and was included in our package, nice selection. Now, let’s talk location. Nestled in the local community and completely walkable to the little town. Just remember, what goes down must come up, unless you have a driver. LOL. The view from our balcony was absolutely stunning! The rooms are big and amenities are modern (tv, showers, etc), but has all the old world touches. I did get to experience the spa, which was fabulous so I recommend it if you have time. I would definitely endorse staying here for anyone, it was truly a lovely experience in every way!!

Great hotel with the BEST views in the blue city! We stayed in a terrace room with a panoramic city view and it was incredible. The view of the mountains while in the room, laying in bed and while in the shower was incredible! Reception and managers are very eager, friendly and kind! The walk down to the heart of the Medina takes about 10 min. While it is uphill going back it doesn't take long and is very do-able (we're not super hikers and like to be lazy on vacation so I can tell you its fine!) .. There are also taxis available to take you back up! The restaurant on site is decent, with great views on the roof, they do not serve alcohol (i think only a few places in the blue city actually do). The call to prayer in the morning is loud anywhere in the blue city, so bring some ear plugs if you plan on staying over here or anywhere in Chefchaouen. Would recommend and stay again!
