Our group of 6 (including 2 children ages 8 and 10) enjoyed our stay! The ride there was a little rough, roads are not paved. But once you arrive the staff is sure to make you feel welcomed. We loved dinner!!! Everything was delicious. Even my kids loved the food, that says a lot!! The staff were all wonderful. We had an early departure, left at 5am, and the staff prepared breakfast boxes for us!

Where do I start. Firstly you're definitely better off somewhere else for this price point. The location is deep inside the undeveloped parts and if you're going to drive yourself there your suspension will suffer. Because of that, leaving the place is hard to leave, so if you're not willing to pay extra for the taxi l (bolt) services, you'll be taking your libations off the USD priced and very expensive menu. (About 3x the local rates) The breakfast is allegedly served until 930am but if you're not there by 8am, the food will be finished. We complained about it on the first day to no avail. On that note however, I was impressed with the baked beans and the mushrooms, maybe if I'd have had the chance to taste other foods, I'd have liked them too, I probably shouldn't have paid extra for breakfast. The bed. Holy smoke I don't think I've ever slept on more uncomfortable bed! The pillows were too floppy and the mattress had zero support. As I write this I'm still feeling the pain/discomfort. That one could be about personal preference, but I think it worth mention. The bathroom reeked of cigarette smoke, and I'm sure it was a non smoking room I was in. That being said, the environment (within) is lovely trees, loungers, very nice. The staff was amazing, lovely lovely people all through, and very friendly. All in all, I'd say if you're maybe in a large group and your goal is to safari, then all good. Anything else, you're much better off elsewhere maybe in the places closer to their town; at least for this price.

Our honeymoon in Tanzania was truly unforgettable, and a huge part of that was thanks to al African mamba and our incredible guide, Bakari. From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized — the itinerary flowed seamlessly, allowing us to fully enjoy each moment without worrying about logistics. Bakari made the experience exceptional. His deep knowledge, professionalism, and warm personality made every day special. He always went the extra mile to ensure we had the best possible wildlife sightings and that we felt comfortable and well taken care of at all times. The national parks in Tanzania are simply breathtaking. Each day felt like a dream — from vast savannas full of wildlife to stunning landscapes that seemed straight out of a movie. Sharing these moments during our honeymoon made it even more meaningful. We are incredibly grateful for the experience and would highly recommend African mamba safaris to anyone looking for a well-organized, authentic, and unforgettable safari. And if you’re lucky enough to have Bakari as your guide, you’re in the best hands possible.

We spent a night at this lodge in late April. The welcome was virtually non-existent; the same went for mealtimes, and in the evening. Lonely guests but like we didn't be welcome. The room was decent, but the pool was in poor condition (all chipped). Finally, the hotel’s location needs reviewing... in the middle of nowhere on a track in a very poor neighbourhood, with the hotel like a fortress surrounded by barbed wire... it was as if we were in a (golden) cage. In short, best avoided.
